ok i got a 1984 pontiac grand prix the transmission messed up so i took it to mr transmission left it there for 2 in a half months got a new transmission got the car back yesterday and all of a sudden im hearing a strange knocking sound somewhere under the hood and the car turns off when i stop and act like it doesnt want to go when i press the gas what do you think the problem is??

lol got dayum 2 1/2 months for a trans to get dun?its usually a week turn aroun if they totally rebuilidng it...and how long the trans been in there when it juz died on u? the trans mite be fucked up again...lol there a dude taht gota monte wit a 700r4 and he's been thru 6 trans cuz no1 tol him he needed a lockup kit to let it go in overdrive or wateva..so my mechanic fixed it for him and got the kit for the overdrive....n he was takin it too all these trans shops gettin it rebuilt n juz bought anotha 1 cuz it kept burnin up

idk i bought the car about 6 months ago and the reason why it took so long is cause i didnt have the money but i took it back to the shop today and they telling me that a rod in the motor is knocking and the motor is finna go.im like why you didnt tell me that in the beginning he talkin bout the car old im like wtf i thinking about suing do yall think i would have a case?

you cant sue em because them rebuilding yo trans had nothin to do with yo rod knocking..their job was to rebuild yo trans....i dont beleive they obligated to tell you you have a bad rod in it...sum places mite be nice and tell you but dont think they are obligated..and if i was you id get a rebuild kit for the motor before you compleltly blow it up..like get new bearings and rods and basically new internals..if you got a shade tree mechanic that'l do it for the L-O then you lookin at bought maybe $500 in parts max...thats wat i did to my 355 that was already built but put all new internals so i kno for a fact everything brand new and can take my car outta state if i want...hope this helps u out bruh
