I have been trying to find parts for my 72 impala. I keep getting different answers. This car when i checked the vin said " 4 door sports sedan" Now the question is: If it is pillarless and a 4 door, I can roll all the windows down and its a big gaping hole. Is this a 4 door hardtop or a 4 door sedan. I need to know because the weatherstripping is hard to find for this car and its different lengths with the models. Thanks , anyhelp is appreciated.

A 4 door sedan has post when you let the windows down and 4 door hardtop sedan does not have post. 4 door hardtop is the one where you let the window down and there is a big ass whole. Looks like one big window.

They are both sedans but some have a post and the other doesnt.......

The top has nothing to do with whether its a 4 door or has a piller or not, or if its a sedan.

So if you have option A . then thats what you should request.

koo. i have the model with no post. hard to find parts for this car.. anyplace you guys can recommend? i need body parts like fenders and a few doors.. oh and the back filler panel under the back window. i have sheet metal to fabricate it but if i can save time that would be better for me.

fenders...find a 72 73 impala or caprice doesnt matter if its 2 or 4 door...... if you find a 71 then you have to take the whole front clip cause 71 doesnt transfer. the only things thats diff about the 4 doors is the mid section(doors) the bumpers and the 2nd piece you need will work from the previously stated cars
