been on here to long so im start my build thats going to be real slow. i'll post pics as i continue
dayum good start...how hard was it to make the top fit? and does it have workin quarter windows? engine looks good n seats too

thanks i see you got one yourself. top not much work to fit, just alot of measuring got 85 riviera as donor so its got the qt windows.i take it it gonna be a gold color or yelow

them asanti's staggered? prolly a dum question since most is but juz thought id ask n would luv to have a vert gbody wit workin top and quarter windows..don think ive ever seen a 78 cuuty vert...mainly juz mid 80's cutty's n regals n monte's

a 78-80 style cutty verted? i kno they got that gold monte like double OO's style on the 8's...but dont remeba seein a cutty my body style...boi thats sum money tho gettin a workin top n then gettin sum1 to install it properly wit workin quarter windows..lol that be way over my budget but guess id have to buy less paint huh...lol

they staggered 9 fronts 10.5 in back . took me 2.5yrs to find a decent price donor, because its hard to find for less than 4000. the motor 350 bored over 40, 400sbc heads and eagle everything, dont know all the details but it should run really good.

o ya sounds like a nice lil runner... i got my 350 bored .30 over...and you gonna paint the faces on the rims to match or keepin em chrome?
did you box in the frame too?

face will be painted and for the frame haven't got that far yet, but it will be frame off and boxed in and new body mounts and kandy painted with chrome undercariage.

sum look pretty clean wit tops up long as they got quarter windows and the top built rite and not lookin like a boat tarp..but u rite top down best lookin

i got a question...wat do you have to do to make the quarter window go up n down since theres no trax for the window in a stock regal? do you fabricate the 1 outta the donor car or make your own? ive always wondered how they did that...also does the rack fit perfectly or do you have to extend or shorten it at all?..im sure these are all the lil secrets behind doin a workin top and quarter windows on gbodys that no1 wants to tell...but im intersted in knoin how it works

Usually they not functional but yeah fab up a new track or make the one from donor car work.. I wish his rear quarter glass was a little bigger imo it would look better.

the whole inside of the regal was removed and and everything from the riviera was installed including window tracks the part that holds the convertible frame and the rear seat, with this type of donor you dont have to fab anything only transfer from one car to the other

he just answered it, Regal got gutted (everything)
& just transfer everything over from the donor car, no fab'n or nothing. Back seat and all.
ok so the regal door windows and the donor car is the same size? so then they juz have the weatherstripping between em then...got it now

you dont need to change your front windows or any gbody, because the qtr window has same shape and lenth so they line up perfect

yes, do it for a living and dont like help i like doing it by myself at the end it feels good, the only thing im not doing is the engine and tranny internals and for the rims 22's and pic its on page 1

dayum so u savin tons of money doin all the bodywork yoself and the top,,,c wish i knew how to do it and engine work ,luckly i got a mechanic that my peoples and he not chargin me thast much at all for all the work he's dun to my car...keep us updated cuz im diggin this build

ill keep you guys updated, but its slow because i only put like an hr or two a day during work but hoping to have it done by march.
not much but somethings i got this week new fuel sending unit, more bushings, water neck, and low budget rear disc brake conversion kit.
nice lil pick up..i kno wat its like to get new parts.lol kinda like a kid at xmas ..but then when your pockets get low cuz u have to keep buyin lil shit here n there it starts to suck...cant wait to see this car dun tho or at least wit top workin on it

well i cant wait ether, because im use to building a car in month interior, paint, rims, sounds and ride thats it, but this is taking too long and here are my last 3 recent builds. pink one is sold
tight work so far homie..... Regal the best looking G-body in my opinion also a vert= FTW!

u got a link to the rear brake conversion kit? i wana switch over to slotted rotors so tryin to see how much it is to do the rear end coversion
