I bought a 71' cutlass supreme coupe with 94k miles and its all original from mississippi about a month ago. I drove it home about 1 1/2hrs home right out side of New Orleans. I have all original documents, sale agreement, and protecto-plate. So far I have installed front disc brakes, a front end kit, centerlink, pittman arm, idler arm, and a polyurethane bushing kit all from yearone.com. I have also installed front and rear gas shocks and coil sprigs as well. I'm done with the suspension!!!! As far as the motor and transmission, I'm going the take them out and replace seals and gaskets. Clean them up and replace under things as needed. Probably going to just rebuild them both just to get that out of the way. I have ordered a comp cam and lifter kit, edelbrock intake , and a holley 6600cfm carb from summit. Undecided if I'm going to getthe flowtech ceramic header...what do ya'll think? The inside is good. Everything works except, the radio and I pegged the gas needle out when I filled it up last. Going to go dakotadigital anyway!!! The carpet needs to be changed and the two headrest needs to be re done. Even the headliner is excellent!!! The only rust on the car is 4 small holes the size of a ink pen tip in the trunk. I want to repaint it back to the original color or close to it. Thinking abut with a gold pearl or a gold base coat. What do you guys think? Can you all ost some pics of different color greens that are close to the green cutlass had in 71'. This is my big problem....I need everyone's input on this. I like how them boys in ATL do the "A body" cars!!! I do know that I want the Intro VISTA II 5 TWISTED wheels. What size you ya'll think I should go with. staggered 22's or should I go with 22's in the front and 24's in the rear.? What size tires? i know if I go the 22's and 24's route, I will need the 275/25/24 in the rear, but what size in the front? CAN YOU GUYS POST SOME PICS OF CUTLASS, CHEVELLE'S, AND SKYLARK'S AND DIFFERENT SIZE WHEELS SO I CAN GET A FELL HOW THE DIFFERENT SIZE WHEELS WILL LOOK!!!
