MY CAR HAS THIS SQUEALING NOISE WHEN I FIRST CRANK IT OR WHEN THE ENGINE COOLS IF I LET IT RUN FOR A WHILE THE NOISE STOPS AND IT RUNS RIGHT I THINK IT MAYBE THE TORQUE CONVERTER BUT IM NOT SURE AND IF I DONT LET IT RUN A LONG TIME BEFORE DRIVING IT SQUEALS WHEN I GET OFF THE GAS BRAND NEW EVERYTHING IN MY MOTOR AND REBUILT TRANNY ANYONE EVER ENCOUNTER OR HEARD OF THIS? motor and tranny 350/350

when I hear the word squealing 1st thing comes to mind is BELT

exactly loose belt

its not a belt the sound is coming from under the car and it gets loud in gear or siting at idle if i get on the gas or put the car in park it stopsplus it smellslike something is burning after i drive a good distant

That should definately take care of it

does the starter have shims on it, check the space between the starter and flywheel. could be shimed too much or not enough
