so i bought the car 1 year and a half ago.. 6 months ago i put some 22s on it.. so now my tranny got messed up.. took it to the shop... hs gonna rebuilt it.. when he opened my tranny.. theres waa a lot of tiny broken pieces all inside the tranny.. he said the rims caused it parts inside my tranny to break bcus they to heavy.. now hes cahrging me 1500 to rebuilt it and said if i keep my rims he cant give me any warranty... now my question is
1. do big rims (heavyer) really caused the tranny to break all from the inside? and should i just take my rims off?

they do i know too many people that have those problems your rims are too heavy and thats why he cant give you a warranty so what i would do is put the stock ones on get it rebuilt so you can get a warranty then put the rims back on

common sense tells u heavier rims than the car is designed for is gonna put wear n tear on yo motor and trans...specialy fwd.....but id do like homie said and put the stocks on get the warranty and put the rims back on....cv axels get worn out quicker on fwds to wit bigger heavier wheels
