i have never seen wett wett flake paint never seen it as wet as paint without it
FUKAUDIOADVICE
Cut the clear after flaking to knock down the flakes because they stand up and dont lay flat. Then you clear over that (straight clear) and wetsand and buff. Should come out looking good, most mfers dont cut the clear after flaking and clear again

Yeah you are gonna have to cut the clear because the larger flakes are going to have texture. You could use a large silver flake and then come with Kandy Purple over that. You would be wet then. I would do it for about $4500.
bigfish
done right , you cant get no better , i doubt few people on here have seen a real flake job unless they from central florida

smh i hope you ain't referring to orlando
VABLACK180
what ratio should i use for the flake and how to keep car lookin wett?
HIGHlow KusTumZ
what is a real flake job...compared to a fake one?

and if you ever been by a boat shop youve seen a flake job dont gotta be in no damn florida.

flakes are ok..more of a lowrider thing to me but to each his own. the small flake can be helpfull.. use the smaller ones first, then go over with the larger. it will fill the dark spots that larger flakes leave.

I think what people are refering to when they say real flake and fake flake, is the application of said paint.
Some consider a "fake" flake job when a base coat is applied and then topcoated clear with flakes. Giving it a bad look because the flakes refract the light. But, if done properly with the wetsanding and reclearing, it'll give it a smooth wet finish, the the light will reflect off the flakes instead, resulting in the "real flake."

Just my 2cents... i've seen the "fake flake" done, it's horrible... same thing with pearls... if not done right, it looks like shit..
