What size carrier is in the rear end of of a 1989 Caprice?

i think its only an 8" or 8.2" it aint no 8.5" i know that for sure

It's 7.5 10 bolt if it's just a caprice. If it's a cop car then it has the 8.5. If I'm wrong all u got to do is look at the cover. A 8.5 cover is completely round, but the 7.5 is kind of flat on the top and bottom and round on the sides.
