No I am pretty sure he thought you meant for a standard install you dont need the removeable kit if you want to remove the steering wheel u will need the kit they sometimes come up on ebay. But unscrewing the steering wheel everytime would be more trouble than its worth not to mention they could still steal the car with basic hand tools.

o i had 1 them quik release and they was a pain in the ass..and sumtymes it was a bitch to line up back on rite and would take a few mins to get rite otherwise your wheel wouldnt be on rite....juz get the lock thing that goes over the whole column so they cant pop the column

im trying to go a step above an alarm and thought that if i get the quick disconnect it would be better. what do you mean by the lock are you talking about the red lock cap that comes with the kit. i found a kit for a honda that came with the wheel, hub, and quick disconnect for $50 and was gonna keep everything but the hub cause i know it wont fit and get the right hub for my car will everything else fit though

We got a '99 Merc in the shop now, and dude is wanting a chrome wheel + column. Only thing we ever put custom chrome columns in before has been hot rods or one-off custom cars. Anyone know where you can get a custom chrome console to fit the '99 Merc Marquis? Then I gotta get a wheel + adapter kit for him too.

Thanks!
