ohm is a load a speaker carries, your amp should be you first concern then look for subs, so basically first thing you do is buy a amp, then you start looking for subs


ex: if you buy a amp that does most of its power at 1ohm, and you wana go with 4 subs, you will need to find either 4 dual voice coil 2ohm subs or 4 single voice coil 4ohm subs, so as you can see it's mostly about matching subs with your amp

(1) 15" WONT FIT IN A MUSTANG . Should I go with the AQ 12" HTCD or Hifonics 12" olympus . They both can take 1600 rms but one is cheaper than the other.

I was talking about those $250 AQ's hd-something 12" but went with the Olympus 12" cause maxx sonic make great budget products. The ebay seller I got it puts a 3 year warranty on it. So if I blow it, return it and get another one. I should have it by wednesday , so that is when I will make my build thread/"I am bored thread' lol . Buddy with the 4 15" needs a hifonics XXV if he got some serious subs.

depends on what you looking for, i know 8s are gonna talk louder, but those 6s be straight screaming, i have only heard emenience tens so i don't know what selenium 10s would do

I got selenium 10's. loud and clear, I had the 6's also, 10's are louder.

What about two 8w4p's wit two st200 super tweeter's vs. 4 6w4p's without tweeters?

Crownvic i cant lie i think i wanna try those seleniums now. Some mexican dude came through the car wash the other day loud talkin and bassin...i was like damn, it did sound good.

I may pick up a few 6s and see what dey do. I just dont like the look of a lot of speakers in the car.

i feel you on that, thats why i'm not running more than 12, 3 perfront door, 2 per back door, and i'm undecided on how many in the back deck really, thinking just 2 8s or i may do 4 6s mounted like this in the back of the caprice with a vent like this

I should just stick wit my first plan of four 6's and no tweets.
