I heard a few weeks back Clear Image wouldnt be making anymore budget headers. I heard a few people say they had fitment issues with them also. You may wanna check into it.

Whoever had it before me did some work to the rear end so I'll leave it alone for now. If I mess w/it I'll put in a Locker and 3.73s.

My Caprice is just gonna be my daily driver so that I can stop putting miles on my SS. If I make 450 horses and 400 ft.-lbs. I'll be good. I ain't really trying to build another race motor, I just wanna be moving pretty good on my 6z. As for the forged internals, I've got plans for more goodies on down the road, whether it be nitrous or forced induction.

I hadn't heard anything like that. I had issues w/header fitment on my Cutlass, so that's really not that big of a problem to me.

Explain to me why it would not be a waste, if he dosent plan on going Forced Induction there is no need for forged internal really. He only tryna reach 450hp/400trq.. Shit its people doing that with stock bottom with forged pistons and stock worked heads and intake with a cam on LT1's all day.. Not really even an need to build a 383... Now if he plan on spinnin the motor past 6k then okay I see the need for it then..

He would do just fine with an cast crank/rods and forged pistons and a very small shot and do 500+
