295-25-26 or 255-30-26 4

I just left the rim shop and dude told me the 255-30-26 is too narrow for the Charger
and that i have to use the 295-25-26 tire....
what is the difference between these 2 tires?

i would think he woulda told you 275/25/26 and not 295...sounds like he has no idea what he talkin bout but here is a charger with 6s on 255 tires...

295 is a little wider so it fits a 10in wide rim better than the 255.
