I just bout a 83 cutlass supreme and my it dont tell me my speed, like it dont move at all. Is it the sensor or i need a new cable?
e-lo
check out your fuse and see if any of them burnt out first if not then problly a sensor under the hood or its the wires also try hitting the dash idk might work i had a car once that the dash lights wont fully come on till i hit the dash also the harness might not be in all the way theres alot more reasons

Probably a bad speedometer cable, i don't think its a fuse or sensor cuttyz dont have them.

I had that same problem bruh when i first got my 86 monte. my cable had broke but i didnt know it. i got this basehead that fixed on cars in the hood to check it out for me!! we went to O rileys and bought a cable for like $20 if even that!! but the problem we ran across was finding the right cable for the motor that i had, O rileys where tryin to sell me the cable for the 305 motor that came stock in the car. it was a 454 that came out of a suburban and i didnt know the year of it was so i had to guess around until we got the right cable! Hope this helps
