Full Version: changing offset from low to high

is there a way to change the wheel offset from a lower offset to a high offset. i know changing a high offset to a low offset with spacers and adapters but what about the opposite. Since the mounting pad is longer on low offset wheels would it be possible to the the mounting pad evenly shaved about a .7 inch to change the offset by 20mm changing it to a fwd offset if the orginal offset is 15mm?

Never heard anyone think of this or come up anywhere. Jus wondering is this possible or if anyone thinks it will work? Jus an assumption.

By shaving & since you said .7", I'm guessing your gonna put the wheels on a mill??? hmmmm.gif

If so, in theory, yes, that would work...

lol. I done thought about that b4 too, like the same way you resurface an engine deck to bring the wheel in a little closer, probably wouldn't work though....

20mm to 15mm isn't a big change at all though, an inch is about 26mm so a 5mm change u probably wouldn't even notice and not worth the trouble
