got a chance to get a rare 327, not running all original....needs to be taken to machine shop......so hoping this guy wants to sell it for the low
Would u take a chance at it...or just save up for a 350

You can buy a 350 for cheap these days. So I would buy the 350 do the machine work and get a budget 383 stroker kit and use ARP bolts. Then all you would need is the top end.

folks been telling me u aint got to do nothing to that 327, just machine and put it back together.....gone see how much he want for it once i get off

i always here people on the site talk about 350 for cheap....dont ever find 1 in my city....and im not talking cheap like 4 and 500 dollars. im talking 200....,
What im asking is would u get a stock 327 or a stock 350...(take in consideration...i aint breaded, just had a lil girl, Is that better

327 can be a high rev'n ass lil beast!
but you said you aint dropping bread etc. etc.
so just get you a nice clean running 350 and be done with it.
no need for details here lol

i would get the 327 cause can add mods to it like a 350 n make it run like a 350

327's dont have as many variations as 350s so it would be hard to say which is better than the other, though stock a 327 would put out more power than most stock 350s because all the 327's I've owned had double hump heads which can be bit of a problem if you plan to use the radial(80's and up) style air compressor for the A/C because the double hump heads dont have the front bolt holes in the heads like most SBC so you goin to have to drill and tap your own, but unless you were going to get a 350 vortec (which has a roller cam and vortec heads) I'd rather have the 327 after all you could put the vortec heads on the 327......I've always had premature wear to the cam lobes on my 327 be that it is a high reving engine keep your rear gear ratio and trans choice in mind while making your decision....
