8 packs are good if you have the room (sealed) and power for them, i may do a 8 pack in my trunk but i really doubt it, sq wise (as far as hitting every little note strong) i still like sealed over ported, but output ported hands down

Get them audiopipe 10's SEALED. Audiopipe Amps, you will spend minimum money for decent equiptment. & that cutlass will be shaking apart, it doesn't take much to make G-bodys get loud.
Get (8) 10's
http://www.caraudiodeals.com/audiopipe-tspr10b-p-2834.htmlThis Amp
http://www.caraudiodeals.com/audiopipe-ap18001d-p-2812.htmlSealed facing up, leave the rear deck open (no speakers in the rear deck) and let the bass jump through.
You looking at ~600 + shipping for subs/amp, get you a Kinetik 2400 (used/new = $200-350) and you beating hard for a stack or so.

Bingo.
There is a difference between trunk rattel and flex. Get you some deadener on that trunk to lower the rattle but flexing is usually unstoppable when ya gettin down.
If you notice in trunk cars, when they're using a sealed box, you hear trunk rattling and lil flex. ported usually has the trunk moving from all the air coming out the vent, it gives off different sounds also. Idk maybe you have to be a "stereo head" to understand that but usually I can tell when a trunk car has a sealed or ported box in it.

An easy test is to do it a home stereo., Most use ported enclosures. Turn ya stereo up and cover the port and listen to the sound, not as loud & your speaker starts to work/move more to try to create bass. Thats why most setups with sealed enclosures use more/bigger subs to try to match/beat a ported setup.
