I HAVE A 1986 OLDS CUTTY WITH A TH200 4R IN IT AND STOCK REAR GEARS MY TRANS JUST WENT OUT I WAS THINKING ABOUT A TH350 OR 700-R4 WITH 373 GEARS I WANT TO PULL A SET OF 24'S WITH 295/35/24 I PLAN ON DRIVING IT ON THE HIGHWAY AND SPINNING THEM EVERY NOW AND THEN

you can do that 200r4 if ya get it built right shit I had one in cutlass in 03' had bout 700 or 800 in the rebuild on the trans kevlar bands shift kit etc..never gave me a prob even when i put 305/35/24 on it drove outta town in all no prob.

Shit 295's and wit dat overdrive trans ya could go 4.11 and be good cause ya have that overdrive if ya wanted(which is what i was gon do back in th day)....but shit cant never go wrong wit a 3.73

yea i would just rebuild that 200 if its the overdrive model..

yeah get the 200r4 rebuilt and built up them grand national boys is know for building them trannys strong. Hell I got a th350 built up in my car and I would rather have a 200r4 to get that overdrive an have better gears than the 700r4.
