Heres my caprice its a 72 postless 4door. I know theres alotta 4door haters but I love all donks. I am trying to take it to a mostly original look. No crazy lift or anything.

It needs work, rear pass qp needs to be replaced, strip of metal between back window an trunk lid is rusted, floor pan got some surface rust but rusted through in the spots where feet go. Seats need to be redone, No engine or trans, broken steering column.

I found a 71 impala 4door but it has posts.
I am thinking of getting these parts from it but before I go I need to know what will fit.
rear quarter panel
door panels
strip between rear window and trunk lid
floor pan

I want to go with a dark green almost black, something that shines nice in the sun.

As far as the motor goes, I HAD big plans but money is tight so I want to get the car running atleast. I can always swap the motor later. I was going to use a 2jzgte wich is a twin turbo engine from a toyota supra. It would be fast as fuck and its a powerhouse. I figured that with the engine, harness and ecu it would be an easy swap. I even have an adapter to bolt a chevy 350 trans to it But I dont got 4stacks for the motor. Then i planned ls1 complete swap but now im thinking I should just go with a good ol 350 and beef it up a little. Just so I can ride it atleast by summer. I would drive that bitch just like that if it ran lol.

fasho man i feel you but the biggest mistake you said was that supra engine. realtalk it is a fast twin turbo setup but its gonna kill the integrity of your ride man no toyota stuff belongs in a american vehicle! now doin a solid 350 is perfect but if you wanna turn some heads with that 4door then go ls1. the performance of a ls1 is sick, maintenance aint bad, they sound good and you can get it up in the 400 hp range with no problems with some nice heads and a couple bolt ons so thats what i would do if i was you. in the mean time just get it runnin like you said then go hard on the motor work when you got that bread

Thanks for the advice bruh, Yeah I thought about the ls1 cuz theres alot on craigslist and shit. I am just indecisive on what I wanna do with it. check this vid out i found the other day. camaro
YoungDeezy510
i checked out that vid and its runnin but thats it. just like the quote under the vid " think the 2JZ sounds decent, but it certainly does not beat the sound of a 900hp v8. I got to give credit to the guys that put this car together, it looks well built and it certainly is unique."

all that $$/time put into a toyota engine and it still dont have that mean sound you want. thats high power import shit there, which is good but for that kinda $$$ im sure you could do better and get the respect you want from the car on top of that.

if thats something you wanna do go for it. on the flipside, if you did do it you would be the 1st in the donk game like that for sure.

I kno what you mean with the toyota motor in a chevy thing. Even tho its a yota motor its not some lil 4banger thats puttin down 150hp its still gonna get respect in the numbers area. Most likely whats gonna happen is a 350 or a ls1 since i would be able to do that myself.. but ill still keep the 2jz idea on the backburner.

i'm workn on a 72 just like yours. did the car come with all the mouldings ? if not let me know where u got it from. as for the back filler panel , im having the same problem finding one. im actually fabricating the whole piece. i found that if take the trim off the back window the whole seat might be gone. just check it out if u want. i'm planning on throwing the 454 in mine. how much torque is that supra engine u thinkn gonna put out ? your gonna need alot to move that boat on the pedal.
