can someone post pics of backseats with blowthru and speakers,

Anybody got an idea of how much that would cost to build, i know i can do most of the work myself if not all of it. I want it to look like a backseat, dont need to be all fiberglass or painted, rather have it wrapped

Perfect example is that Pontiac Box in the for sale forum but it doesnt have to be painted,

the 2nd pic is my old car....and iono how much it would cost cuz i got it done when i worked at a lil stereo shop so i juz paid for the materials............and it really depends how elaborate you wana do it....sum people cheat and juz take a piece of wood and juz cut holes for speakers........the way we built mine took a piece of wood to make the template and cut the hole out for the blowthru then glassed on top of that to make the form for the seat and the speakers.........mine was formed on the sides like a real seat and had thick foam so you could really sit against it and it was comfortable....sum these out here you really cant sit back on

thats how i want mine to look but no one will be in the backseat anyways.

are blow thrus the way to go compaired to having hte woofers firing up in a box chevy? i got 4 xxx 15s? are they just louder in the car or do they sound better outside the car also?

all of the above, its way way way louder inside the car, and the bass travels farther also

chea, what he said. When u just have a basic box sitting in the trunk. Ur trunk itself is acting as a enclosure. Ur trunk isnt that strong and it actually sometimes takes away from travel like crownvic said. by doing a blowthrough u eliminate 80-90% of trunk rattle and u have just that much less between u and ur bass.

true for certain cars, now like a new school monte or gp or imp, anything of that nature i would go blowthrough no doubt in my mind, but a chevy box, bubbles or donk, or vic, dynomat and let the trunk shake like a earthquake

My cousin got a new body impala with 12's, no blowthru and his shit sounds off pretty nice.

Would sound twice as loud if he turned everything around forward and sealed everything off including the rear deck.

ya blow thrus is all thats used aroun here for as long as i can remeber.... i mean sum peope that juz got basic setups dont go that elaborate and make a blow thru..they juz have the usual selad box in the trunk makin it rattle and really dont jam that much but its cheaper......the rest of us do blowthrus all day ta get that pressure in the cab...only problem wit em is you here more speaker i guess you could say then juz bass but with good amps and a good eq you can clean all that up

I'd do the blowthrough, but the 3402657324t9523685734853695387 speakers looks and usually sounds like crap, I'd rather have 2-4 loud ass mids, and 2-4 loud ass highs on 1k RMS all together and prob be louder and sound better

Till you come to Florida, car show and the dude next to you turns up his music and you sitting in your car but cant hear your own music.

not always the case. Tommy McKinnie didnt have a mess of mids and highs and Im pretty sure he is just as loud and actually sounds good. Meade just had 2 comp sets keeping up with 2-MT18s in a wall using over 10K.

Tommy does have a nice amount of speakers in his setup.!

4 or 5 per side isnt a mess. he had a gang of em in that truck but u gotta realize he had 24-12s in that thing. and even then his shit was neat and not throwed everywhere like most of the ones Ive seen
