Just got it today.. already tinted windows.. tail lights, headlights and started on the trunk.. im going to put the wheels on after everything is done since there are screws that hide behind the wheels (the stocks screw on and off so are easy to remove)

HEY, ITS A YOUNG GUY THAT STAY AROUND THE CORNER FROM ME THAT HAS THE SAME WHEELS ON HIS SS AND THE BACK RIMS HAVE MEATY TIRES AND THAT SHIT LOOKS GOOOOOOOD!!!!! ITS THE SAME COLOR AS THE ONE YOU GOT NOW EVEN THE SAME T-TOPS. ONLY DIFF BETWEEN IS HE HAS A RACE HOOD ON IT WITH A 502 UNDER THE HOOD.HE WAS AT THE STORE NEAR MY HOUSE TODAY AND ME AND MY SON ASKED HIM ABOUT IT. MAN, WHEN HE RAISED THE HOOD, WE WE WERE BLOWN AWAY!!!! 502 WITH A SUPERCHARGER. HE SAID HE GOT 850 HORSEPOWER. SO IF YOU DO ANYTHING,FLIP THAT MOTOR, CHANGE THAT HOOD, AND THICKER TIRES IN THE BACK.BUT, I STILL MISS THE FIRST SS YOU WERE WORKING ON. WHAT HAPPENED?
Diecast Craftsman
that was the same brand as this one so i used alot of parts from it.. bascially its gone.. still have some parts.. im not gonna change the motor.. the detail on this car is amazing.. ill get some new pics tomorrow..
Damn 28s
do u just mess with plastics too or just diecast? i used to work on plastics daily but kinda stopped, i'd like to get back into it.
Diecast Craftsman
started out with plastic. but it was too damn easy for me.. all the parts you need are readly available, you can even get pre wired distrubutors..

So i moved to the 1:18th diecast.. about 90% of the custom parts have to be made for the car.. well besides the rims.

Diecast Craftsman
heres the interior.. added a new steering wheel.. tv's in the visors, photo etched seatbelts (casue american muscle monte carlo didnt come with as many details as the ertl authentics i used to have, so i added a bunch of details from that, under the hood and interior..) and some better flocking for carpet.. and the floor mats form the other monte (ones that were in this car were molded to the floor)

same goes for under the hood.. detailes were good.. but not good enough. im sure ill be doing more stuff to that as well..
