Man, I was dead set on these 4s seriously, but I didnt think you could get a 255/30/26 to tuck that well.......

May have to regroup lol, that looks like a perfect stance to me, just need some wet wet thumbsup.gif
CROWN99

jus go to autozone or advance autoparts, thats where i got my knuckles and they holdin up perfect...was 10$ for a pack of 4, they come in a yellow package.

Preciate that man that sound like a hell of a deal. I understand ima need airshocks in the back and some knuckles up front but im not sure what kind of shocks I should go with up front to get some serious tuck out of some 275/30/26 wit mayb a 5 mm. offset. I dont want to have to really do ne trim work on my fenders unless I got to.

I just asked for the regular load carriers for the front for the 98 marquis. i actually have 4 knuckles on each side they are the larger knuckles. Imma end up putting 2" cups all the way around and removing the knuckles later tho.

herer is the marquis i bought a couple weeks ago. I finally got the 6s on with 255/30/26 tires rims are 26x10 with a 5mm offset yest 5mm. Im tucking the shit out of them with air shocks from a 98 f150 at the back load carrier shocks up front and knuckles up front with some precisiion trimming of the front bumper. air shocks are not aired up

yep my homie had 26s with 305 30 26 tires, with only air shocks and knuckles, on his 96 vic
linco97
biggrin.gif Whats good. I am kinda new to this but i am trying to put 24 on a 97 lincoln towncar already got the coversion kit. Would a 3 inch cup be good with a tire size 295-35-24? and what about 26 tire size and inch cups if i have to go bigger.
crownvic02
3" cups will work for both sizes
04vicdrivin
I have a '04 Police Vic w struts up front. Is there any way i can make the universal cup that I bought from UCL work w the struts, w/out having to buy the strut spacers that they now offer, since i already have the cups?

Only the back will work. For the front, you gotta buy the strut spacer.

Ok, im about to cop some 4s in a couple of weeks, (I hope) going with a 255/30 tire on my 04 Crown Vic. Already have a set of wind up blocks in the rear, but honestly need new springs. Would i be good with just getting some Police model coil springs all the way around, or keep the wind in blocks in the rear, and add some large screw in knuckles up front?
crownvic02
if you need knew springs i would get some anyway, and those pi springs don't make up that much of a bigger stance that civi ones, but yeah on wind up block in each spring the rear, and knuckles up front will do the trick, i wish you had a 02 or something cause all you would need is some fresh springs from autozone for the front so you would keep that same smooth factory ride up front

I do too, would make a hell of a lot easier getting the suspension right. I got these large knuckles for the front (4) two per side, just got to find a shop to put them in. Youve seen my front suspension, its hard to install the small ones.
crownvic02
question did the small ones lift it any, cause you don't really need alot of lift

Really, they did, I used (4) per side, and prob lifted my front end about a inch to a inch and a half. I measured the difference at my cousin's house where i installed them since he has a paved driveway and I dont lol.

I could go with the small ones again, just have these big ones here collecting dust lol. But, that might be the move though.

Think im going to need to do any triming? Rims are 24x9.5 with a +30 offset.
crownvic02
probably just the inner lip of the front bumper, i have seen people who didn't have to and some who had to, other than that all you doing is sliding them on and ride the fuck out soulja.gif

you don't have to do anything, but you may wana run some 3:55 gears in the rearend, and if you have some extra funds after that put a lil transgo shit kit in there, thats all imma do, and i'mma be pulling out like a fool, but if i get some extra extra bread i'm doing 3:73 with the posi unit, but if i keep it one wheel i'm doing 3:55, i mean you can go without all of this and honestly ride, but your take off (stand still and just stump the gas) is gonna be alot sluggish from factory so 3:55 would put you right on the mark and your speedo would be only off by 2 mph with the gears and 28s put on, assuming you have factory 2:73

yea my shit still stock. a nigga told me puttin 8s on would mess up my axle is dat true.

19.gif some of the shit people say, naw cuzzo u straight, put it like this brah rims do put extra stress on shit (bushings motor trans & rearend) for the most part, but gears & shift elminate ur extra stress on motor trans n rear, only things that get worn out faster now are ur bushings, which if u replace them with some moogs u want have that problem again, but it's not going fuck ur shit up especially if u take care of ur shit, for example I been riding rims on my car every since 40k with no shift kit or gears, n I'm at 113k now n the only problem my shit has is worn out bushings, which some greaser will fix that for a while (to lazy to replace all the bushings n ball-joints)

thats the same size rim & offset i got. I think i put 4 of them small ones on each side and the only thing in the way is sum plastic in the wheel well. u can cut it out, or i guess let it wear down, but it only touches when u do a sharp right turn anyway. just dont turn the wheel all the way & u good. left turns u can do wutever u want though.

so +15 will put them all the way inside the front fenders?

also where do i get stud extenders? also how long should i get them?

also with +15 offset would that take away from having a big lip? push the inside of wheel in or out?

autozone got the shock stud extenders. most people use the load carrier shocks too. this is my lil bro's 2000 on 24X9s +15 wit new (regular) shocks & stud extenders:

we put the load carriers on 1st, but i think they too stiff for the roads up here cuz they busted thru the mounts after a few weeks. but i havent heard of anybody else havin trouble with em, so try that first

the lower the offset on 1pc rims the bigger the lip is probably going to be, the higher the offset the smaller offset is more likely to be, do +15 cause +30 gone have them bitches sitting in 2 far and looking funny as fuk on the road

Would the UCL lift be too tall for a set of 6s with 255/30/26? On a 04 Vic?

it will sit like this

thats a 99-2002.... but you will have the same stance as far as fender to tire gap, which i think is a nice stance for system and dips in the road.... only thing i would do is lower the rear soulja.gif a tad bit
