That would be enough, you would need ~8cubes after displacement.

You can fit 8 cubes in a G-Body trunk FAIRLY easy.
There's about a 1,000 and 1 ways to do it, it all depends on your peronal preference....

X2, the reason I asked is that I planned on doing 2 15" Qs ported but I want to do 4 12"s ported but I would have to face them up like your BLs and fire the port toward the taillights.

In a trunk, it really doesn't matter which way they're facing. If they're facing up, they WILL rattle the hell out your trunk lid. If they're facing towards the back, they WILL rattle the hell out of your trunk lid and rear bumper/lights :lmao:

Chevy, I dont think thats 3.5ft3 after displacement because u have too much room left over. 3.5ft3 + port displacement + sub displacement= corner to corner, top to bottom, front to back. That looks more like 2.5 after displacement. No offense intended....because its nice, but just looking at it and my knowledge of G-Body trunks I know thats probablly 3.5ft3 "net". Meaning its probably more like 2.5ft3. But to RidingHigh, That Autotek would be ok for those 12s but If It were me Id sell and try to find 2-XXHifonics Thor amps. The Autotek is a beast but for 4-12s that are capable of 1800rms ...u would only be seeing 1000rms to each sub. If U had the extra money Id run atleast 1600rms each. or do 4-12" Q's and that Autotek......that would be more in the Q's power range. Only running a G to a fully loaded BL is a waste of a good sub. Thats like buying a Lambo and running 87 Octane in it.

so two of those hifonics would do the job? how much they run for new and used it dont matter? and how many watts they put out?

Dont get me wrong I love Autotek, that amp would work fine. I was just saying that u could run alot more. But those Thor amps run about 600 new and they do 3K rms x 1@1ohm @14.4v.....so if u dont plan on getting ur electrical system upgraded...then Id keep what I got.

It's actually around 3.3 after displacement, you just can't see the whole box in those pics.
The box extends all the way out to the quater panels and under the trunk lip on each side....it was damn near impossible to squeeze those bitches in there.
It's as tall at it will go too, I've actually noticed the foam hitting the lid on full excursions.

Sound deadening helps a LOT, especially if you can take out your headliner and put a layer or two on it. I know in my little Tacoma truck, it made a HUGE difference in SPL and with overall road noise reduction. I used to have to scream across the cab (like 2ft away) at 70mph, now it's like whispering at class with sound deadening 2 layers all around (roof, back, doors, and floor. Sounds like you're riding in a caddy

Get a vid of your shit beatin whenever you get a chance.

OOOOh....I calcalculated up a box for 2-15"BLs in my Cut and whats holding me back is the fact that I would have to build it inside of the trunk. I wouldnt be able to get it in there if I built it and tried to place it in there.....Now Im leaning more towards 2-12"BTLs with more power (something in the ballpark of (3000-3500rms)...the extra juice should make up for the decrease in surface area but it would still be tuned very low, something like 80sq" of shared port tuned to 32Hz. Who knows, might squeeze 3 with 2500rms each depending on how I can play around with the port calculations and box shape.

alt, bigger wire (which is a dead giveaway), and extra batteries.....eitherway u roll ur gonna need a solid Starter battery and depending on what size alt, u'll need 2 big batteries in the rear if u have a smaller alt like a 140amp....if u get a 200+ alt then u may be able to get away with 1 rear battery if u keep the Autotek. If u run those Hifonics ur gonna need atleast 1 big battery per amp. Just remember the less amps ur alt is capable of...the more ur gonna have to make up for that in batteries.

That MM4000.1 would work great for those 4 12's...
Don't let anyone confuse you, a solid 1000rms to each and they will bang... HARD.
Remember, the BL's are based off the same magnet slugs as the Q. With a top/bottom plate more similar to the BTL.
They're the LOUD version of the Q, with Q series is mainly an SQ subwoofer at first.

~450.
dude is on floridaspl.com
he has hella references of big name competitors so i trust him.
hes out of carolina. but the thing is u have to pay and since hes like a middleman / wholesaler, u have to wait like 4 weeks to get it.
and if it takes too long he'll send u a full refund.
in some cases he's sent full refunds and some.
i'd refer u too him, and you can talk 2 him and decide if u really want to do it; for that price, i'd wait the damn 4 weeks.
right now i can get the 40001bd for 740 shipped. its going up though so i dont know what ill end up paying, but still thats like a $1400 amp.

what brand was that??
EA doesnt have the best reputation, but i know some ppl that run him in their setup and it works fine. plus they are a big competitor and good friends with nate, im gonna get an EA along with my summer upgrades.
and yea im most likely going 2 12" hd3's on that RF t4k. i think it does about 4500rms, so 2250 to each hd3 should get reallllll loud.
