Just wondering what you all are recommending on using for the 15" BTL. Budget is unlimited, but I thought I could get it done for 500 or under..Also anything else I should know about this sub? Box size? Should I go fully loaded?

4k isn't enough?!? It's about $850 shipped BTW.

I was just wondering on the ohm stability. I like to fuck with shit, and I would run it at 1 ohm.

Also, I said I could get it done because I'm doing the install faggot.
capinpimp
He's just buying the shit.

You can mod a HK4000 to be stable at 1 ohm.

Have you ordered the subwoofer yet?

If not, just get the amp first then worry about the COIL configuration.

I recommend a Kicker2500.1 (2500rms @2ohms)... it's powerful and efficient. Therefore you would need the dual1ohm coils.

It's a perfect match, I loved that pair in my truck.

Either that kicker or this one...

Not quite under 500, but save up a little smile.gif

Also, I have heard a lot of good things about the Soundstream amps...

That'd be a good match for it, too
Jep
get the soundstream 10,000D baller, or strap 2 sundowns per coil. better yet get the RF 15,000 watt.

LAwl.

Yo...

Is 2000 rms gonna be enough? I told him he'll need only one of these in a tahoe..I'm trying to make sure of that..

How much does that kicker 2500 run?

I bet I can get that soundstream for dirt cheap, my buddy does distributing for them...Any good?
ngsm13
2000rms will be good.

See is Soundstream has a step up in power in the same model line, if so... pick up that.

Appreciate the help.
capinpimp
Aye yall,

Would 2 Hifonics BX1205D's work? Could I hook one up to each coil? I can get one for 100 bucks and my buddy already has one..Just wondering if that can work..Thanks.
capinpimp
Ttt?

soundtream is decent for the price....aint da best but decent. Try the Autotek SS1900.1D.....u'll get more even though its rated @ 1900rms@1ohm Ive seen test sheets on the MM models and a test sheet on a SS500.1. The 500 did around 780rms@14.4v and that wasnt even a classD amp....the SS1900.1D is in the same model line as the 500 but its been tweeked and its classD which means its more efficient so Im pretty sure u can get atleast 2200rms out of it and it goes for around $300 give or take $20 or $30. That Soundstream Picasso 2000D will only give u around 1800rms and I think u will get a cleaner sound from the SS1900.1D. If u go with Hifonics then Id go with the XX line. U can save a lil more and get the XX-Thor(3000rms x 1@1ohm) for $600 shipped.
capinpimp
He already has one 1205, he can buy another one for 100 bucks..Can I run one on each coil of the BTL????
