Shit! 2 years ago that this question was posted but someone may be interested. It is possible to make it fit. It all depends on the fabrication of the motor mounts and when you get to wire harness make sure everything has been pulled outta the original car that had the LT1 and that includes the fuel pump as well.
Got this done with a LS1 on 64 impala so I know it could be done with a LT1 on a g-body.
