I opened my trunk the other day and noticed one of my subs wasn't lined up right with the others. I checked it closer and all of the screw heads were broken off clean. I have never seen screws break like that before on a sub. Anyone know what causes this? Is it just too much pressure?

I had one come all the way out the box. It pulled the screws out and all!!!

Had same problem before. What you need to do is try the 1" screws instead of the 1 1/2" or whatever they are because it is the pressure that keeps breaking the longer ones off.

Definetly the pressure of the box. If you have all them 12's in a box made out of shitty wood like 5/8 particle board or something, I am not surprised. If that is the case, then your box is flexing like hell when the bass hits. May not look like it to the eye, but youre sub will feel it.
May want to step your box up if that is the case. Take it to a shop and tell them you want a thick box made out of Birch Ply. It's much stronger and holds screws better. Other than that use shorter stronger screws is all I can think of off the top of my head.
