i got a 84 cutlass with a 307, i want to put a chevy 350 in it can any one tell me if i need to do anything besides jus drop in the engine and tranny??

change motor mounts, not sure if the tranny thats in the car will fits a chevy engine, might have to get a different tranny, and might have to re-locate the crossmeber, thats bout it.

Nope, Oldsmobile trannys are universal with GM motors if I'm not mistaking.

I'm with Malcom on this one. Some trannies (2004R only) had multiple bellhousing patters, but not all 2004R's had it. Unless you have one of these trannies (4 speed auto w/OD) you will have to get a Chevy tranny.

yep you gonna need a chevy tranny unless u have one of those multi bolt transmissions also you going to need new accessory brackets like alternator,power steering and ac and you may wanna upgrade your radiator

i got an 85 cutlass, i sat a smallblock right in no problems, i put on new motor mounts and tranny... hooked right into the original rearend... eventually i will change it also... this swap is very simple... i had the v6 and it was horrible... but i also dont understand why you wanna switch from a 307 to 350, u can sit a good pair of heads on the 307 and run nos with it and you will have a runner
