Boxpontie, This is what you need to do the job, and do it right!
-3 (means dash three AN fitting)
"B"nut (connects steel line to AN fitting)
collar (is the other have of the B nut)
FRONT
1)
Poly urthane control arm bushings. Check PST 1 877 224 1699 or Energy Suspension 949 361 3935 (upper & lower come in the set). While you are at it find out about bushings for the rear trailing arms.
2)
Raised spindles for a full size Chevy truck about 1988 they are 4 inch lift . If you can not get them get S-10 spindles they are 3.5 the reason for the full size truck is the rotors are bigger than S-10. I am currently working on a big brake kit 13 inch rotors.
3)
If you have to fab contol arms. New ball joints (4) are needed. I use the NASCAR screw in upper ball joints. (4) bungs are needed. The uppers are bigger that any stock ball joint used by the factory.
4)
Tubing for the arms 1 inch .156 wall DOM for the uppers. Lowers 1.25 inch .156 wall DOM for the lowers.
5)
(3) steel braid brake line 28 inch long (-3 line)
6)
(2) 3/16" line inverted flare to -3 adapters
7)
(1) -3 Tee fitting For the rear
8)
(2) couplings -3 to 10 mm for the calipers
9)
(2) Calipers
10)
Brake pads
11)
Inner and outer wheel bearings
12)
(2) Dust seals
The rear
The rear trailing arms will need to be made longer in order to center the wheel in the wheel well. The driveshaft will have to be extended. I sell a lift bracket that welds on the rear end, for $60.00 It requires the you cut off the factory spring bracket. Then the spring sits on top of the bracket. The bracket allows for hieght adjustment.
13)
(2) "B" nuts
14)
(2) Collars
Now This is the stuff I use. It is not cheap I notch the frame so the car can turn. The car can also get a front end alingment. I use stock springs, I don't like to use heavy duty springs because it make the car ride like SHIT!! Air shocks suck they belong in the trash. I build all as if they were mine. If the tire rubs my sheet metal guy extends the wheel well. Not cut the fucker with a saw zaw. The second picture that you have posted they converted to leaf springs. I would put money on it that the car rides like a logging truck.
I think that I covered everything. I am doing an 87 Caprice now (24's) I'll post pictures if you tell me how. Later
